Sam Miranda is a third generation winemaker, His Grandfather 'Pop Miranda migrated from Italy and started making wine in 1939. Sam worked for the family as a senior winemaker before purchasing the King Valley winery in 2003. The cool climate of the King Valley is ideal for fresh, rich yet elegant wines of the High Plains label. The strong family tradition and passion for premium wines continues! A classic blend of cool climate Traminer and Riesling grown in the Myrrhee sub region of the King Valley. The perfumed spicy lavender and musk aromas of the Traminer enhanced by the minerally lime aromas of the Riesling are balanced well by a soft fruity palate.
